Full disc 04-04-2021

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Sunshine in HSA and here the discs.

H-alpha shows a lot of prominences around the limb. Two plages, one in the northern hemisphere at ~ +20° and ~ + 33° with a visible spot in the white light image. Possibly f it is stable it will get the number AR 12813 ¿?.

In the Southern hemisphere there are plages at ~ +54° and ~ -30° as well as ~ -18° and both plages are shosing black pores :o The question here is which one was there first in order to get the number AR 12814 ¿?

As usual best seen in original size in a new tab/window :bow2

BTW the magma is still flowing from the 2 vents in Geldingadalir, Iceland. It is a very liquid basaltic magma coming from about 20 km depth.

Nice (as always), Rainer.

Some exquisite detail in those finer/smaller proms.

WoW Rainer. Those SE pores were so small that I think I simply overlooked them yesterday.

I just checked SDO and the pores of the other two I saw yesterday are barely visible if non existant.

I just got two pores visually in the SE using a friend’s TV-85 refractor at 100x.
