Sol from the 5th of April 2021.
Hi:
Did some shots before lunch, the seeing was regular, but the wind was strong and soon got clouded.
Thanks for looking a few processed.
Best regards to all.
Eric.

Re: Sol from the 5th of April 2021.
Lovely captures Eric, thanks for sharing. Just a question, Re: the Ca-k images with proms. Are the proms taken in ha and added or are they images in Ca-k as I've seen them too in Ca-k on the 4th and 5th?

Very nice, Eric.
Lovely images. Your Ca K images, with proms, are always very impressive.

Re: Sol from the 5th of April 2021.
Nigella, Alexandra, Dan, James, Stu, Franco and Terry:
Much appreciated comments, thanks for looking.
Nigella, the "proms" and "surface" CaK shots were taken with the same scope, it is a Meade 102mm f/9 refractor fitted with a CaK PSTmod that I made.
As for the FD Ha shots, they were taken with a Solarmax 90-DS with a BF30, the higher resolution ones were taken with a 102mm f/7 Stellarvue refractor fitted with a 4X Baader Telecentric and an old Daystar T scanner filter.
Here is the "prom" CaK FD as it comes out from AS!3 after aligning and stacking, then I do some processing and resizing it so that the "surface" one fits correctly in the "prom" one.
After that when the composite is done, I do some final processing, (deconvolution, and levels with the lasso tool).
As you can see, I record the CaK prom FD´s overexposing a little bit, so to get the proms brighter, then using the lasso tool I separate the proms from the background so to make it darker with levels so the proms show clearer and contrasty on a dark background.
Best regards,
Eric.

Very good indeed Eric! I seem to have missed this post, the proms came out well in CAK.
