@ Ivan: The earth has 12`714Km diameter, the height of the protuberance is over 120`000km so the earth is 10x smaller.

I observed and imaged these today too. I am beginning the stacking and editing process now. Jozef, yours turned out excellent. That first image really brings the size of these prominences into perspective. All of these show substantial detail. Superbly done!
