Hi Everyone.
Here are the results of some H alpha imaging on April 10. My main motivation was to test the Astrospherics (N. America) app for the second time and confirm its seeing predictions. On the 10th, the seeing was predicted to be "excellent" starting at 10:00am (which is usually a bit late in the morning for good seeing in my experience). It turned out to be pretty good but variable and had probably already deteriorated by 10:00 when I began capturing videos. Local seeing conditions probably play a big part but the app itself seems to be a useful guide at least in predicting particular days when the seeing might cooperate.
Images were taken with the C8 Edge, Aries ERF, ~4.6x telecentric, Daystar 0.6A QPE, ~0.65x FR and Pt.Grey Grasshopper IMX174. The NSO GONG image shows the areas imaged; two proms and a small AR. Prom images were taken without the FR and with the camera operating in mode 1 to use binning for increased brightness...significant loss in resolution though. As you can tell by the GONG image, the NE limb prom was significantly dimmer than the SW limb prom. The two AR images are at slightly different image scales (I can vary the FR strength by changing a spacer) and taken about an hour apart.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers.
Peter.

Very nice Peter. I use the app to have an idea of the general seeing too: I find it useful.

Nice looking images Peter. I've being checking out Meteoblue for seeing, and find its accuracy - a bit like the seeing, well, variable!
