Mini Sunspot Group AR2814 WL

Post by Martin_S »

Today was first light for my ASI174 and a 102mm f/10 achromat that arrived today. I set up late afternoon, the sun was about 5 degrees above my house roof. The heat from the roof did not give the best imaging conditions. I managed one good image before the viewing went crazy.

Martin,
What make/brand is your 102mm F10 achromat? I ask because I have such a scope. Mine's a Celestron.

Martin bought the SW 102/1000 achromat refractor from me a few days ago.
My conditions were not good enough to get the best from it.
He has done very well with it.
Look forward to more images.

Sky-Watcher and Celestron are both Synta companies and I would bet his refractor is probably the same as mine except for the name and styling. I too seldomly can use mine to it's best. Seeing is the main issue.
