Quick morning session 14/4/21

Post by DJD »

Finally got a chance to try to experiment with my mis-firing Tal/PST mod late morning.
Don't know why but I am experiencing NRs, off axis brightening, a sweet spot close to the edge
( a good album from my youth) and a misbehaving focuser.
I think the scope is punishing me for neglecting it.
Anyway, for what they are worth here are a couple of images and a pylon that I could not rescue from
the murk.
The active region (50 frames from a 1500 frame concatenated SER )

The pylon that sadly I just could not rescue

Newton rings or not the detail is still there. They document well what is shown. The first one looks really nice!

These are fabulous David, I am sure you will get all the problems ironed out soon, at least the weather is very good for tinkering :)
