Prom on the 14th.

Post by Stardust5858 »

Didn't know if I should post these, but it's interesting to see the difference with Cak and Ha with the same prom and nearly the same time. I was pushing the scopes as the seeing wasn't great even though it was clear skies.

The color in the first image looks familiar  ! The prom shows up nearly as well in your CaK image as it does in your Ha image. You are not alone. Seeing often tortures me too!

Very interesting indeed! the structures which are CaK bright are very different to Halpha bright. Generally the most energic regions seem to be the CaK bright, a good prom lift off is great in CaK. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/gall ... n-ramsden/

That's a pretty-good capture Nigella considering the conditions.

I note that at present 0900hrsZ there is still or another similar prom.

Thanks for sharing
Terry
