Hello to all,
a small animation of yesterday's prominences made with the fs60 with its sm40 double stack, BF10, barlow x2 lens, ADC and zwo178mm on GP between 14h18 and 15h21 UT
big field rotation during the animation because my set up was totally messed up
44 films of 600 frames every minute
autostakkert, photoshop, registax, iris and virtualdub processing
Xvid at 7 fps (1,8Mb)

Re: halpha solar animation on 14 April
Hi Stephane,
Very nice animation, excellent work.
Please can you explain Stephane:
1) What is FS60 mean
2) The focal ratio of your solar optical system at the camera sensor.
Many thanks.
Magnus

Re: halpha solar animation on 14 April
I like your animation Stephane - a lot.
In fact to actually capture three proms in one image as well as other edge detail and then animate it, is not often done, so for your excellent effort in producing such an amazing and interesting animation, I would give you 10 out of 10..
Thanks vm for sharing and very well done
Terry

Re: halpha solar animation on 14 April
thank you all
2) with this optical system (fs60+BF10+barlow lens x2 + ADC), I have a calculated focal length of 564mm
that is to say a ratio f/d of 564 / 40 (because sm40) = 14,1
Sincerely
stephane
1) fs60 means takahashi fs-60 (60/355) telescope
