It's nice to see that you have " three lights " imaging capability. That's a goal of mine. Most of the time I stack images but I also use single frames as well. They are good " quick photos " but tend to be less sharp and more noisy.

Many thanks James for your comments.

Indeed stacking usually brings out more detail - if time allows to capture as well as process them, albeit with night-sky imaging, much more time for the downloads and processing is usually required. Yesterday was a very short session, as a phone call required me to be elsewhere - quickly...

Obviously like Pedro and now Nigella etc., who have the same capability, but with mounts well-able to carry the heavy-loads, I have had the 3-lights available to me for many years now, as was my intention in 2010. I do need to spend more time though experimenting with magnifying and other things to get anywhere near some of the best SolarChatters can do...

With the Lunt 60mm Cal-K and Ha + its' DS and the Orion ED80T-CF scopes and their three cameras and the wiring, they happily allow the SKYWATCHER AZ-EQ6GT Alt-AZ and EQ mount to operate within its' capability, the mount having Solar/Lunar (and the rest) tracking rates.

The stand (pillar/pier) is able to carry over 2-tons/1000Kgs, so there is never likely to be an issue there during my lifetime !!!!!!!!

CLEAR SKIES AGAIN - PLEASE
Terry
