April 23 ...
This morning was one of the better for the sun shots.
I used only my Quark Prominence filter.

Very nice Maurits. in fact excellent captures with the very-clear blue sky that we both have at present.
Thanks for sharing

Re: April 23 ...
Hi
I was having a bit of a technical day trying baffles and using that prom. 127mm Triplet, Baader UV-IR, 4.2x and Chromo Quark and Clave' 25mm after starting with Meade 32mm.
It looked like a face and later on of a sheep or fish to me. I saw quiet a few dark holes in the prom contributing to that.
And some fine structure.
Eye quiet a pronounced dark hole. Longer hole as a nose. and a fuzzy hole mouth over a bright chin which matches your brighter feature on one side. At one point there was a small fish like barb under the chin.
I could see the dark spot but no surface details like your image.
I tried adding my Baader 35nm and Beloptik KG3 from my PST Mod to the eyepiece and the temperature measured looking down the eyepiece only went down 0.2C so pretty much the same IR blocking as in the Quark I presume. Re-assuring.
Cheers. Andrew.
