I love the inverted CaK image! Nice! Though the amount of detail is significant in your WL images it looks like seeing is obscuring the very finest of detail. That's normal here for me. :(

Thanks James, I'll have to start saving files in jpeg in future. Seeing wasn't the best but not as bad as the 23rd. I was to late in the morning and temperatures had risen significantly. My best time is between 8am and 10am.

Good shots! JPEGs would be good. Looks like you were fighting the seeing. Run that 100 achro at 60mm with your CaK and will give you considerably better results...

Thanks Mark, yes I was fighting seeing for the past several days even though it's lovely and sunny. I had the 100mm stopped down to 80mm but think I could have still reduced further as you say. Typical, lovely clear blue skies and horrible seeing.

If you're just doing full disks, at that scale, reducing down to 60mm (good seeing!) all the way down to 40mm (less than ideal seeing!) work well with CaK. I even have a 30mm mask for diabolical seeing. Don't forget in CaK you have 1.6x the resolution of Ha because of the shorter wavelength, so 30mm CaK is the same as 50mm Ha... 80mm CaK is equivalent to 130mm in Ha...

Thanks Mark, I'll have to get busy and make a 60mm mask.

Excellent/Fab set of images Nigella.
The negative-CaK image does add to the result of the positive-version so well.

Thanks for sharing
Terry
