April 23rd 2021 - ISS transit from 2 locations

Post by Simon2940 »

Cant post a video directly here BUT you can watch it here:

*NEW LINK*

Both myself and a friend was at 2 different locations catching the ISS solar transit. I crunched some numbers and worked out the speed and distance travelled from one point to the other.

My shot went blurry because the wind picked up at that exact moment (of course it would) and the smoke from a near by forest fire did not help either!

Seems to be a broken link, Simon. Nice image though.

An excellent capture and against the Sun-spots too - very well done.
I was also going to try a similar-pass of the ISS's transit across the Sun's centre, but couldn't stay awake long enough after an all-night imaging-session.

Thanks for sharing

Nice ISS/sunspot capture!

Could you let me know where you find out about the times that the ISS transits the sun?
