26-4-2021 AR2821 HAS JOINED THE MASSES

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Well why not... I can't remember when so many AR's were in such a small environment on the Sun, but late this Sunday-evening, :bow

AR2821 has 3-spots which is the newbie on the block...
AR2820 has 12-spots
AR2818 has 1-spot (still)
+++
AR2816 has 1-spot (very-faint)
AR2819 has 1-spot (very-faint)

Well all those close-together spots - should keep us busy for a while and hopefully.. :hamster:

Just look at that massive area of activity with the attached SDO images. I feel something big could occur from this region !!! :seesaw

CLEAR SKIES
Terry :band

AR12821 I haven't found officially listed anywhere. A magnetogram image will surely tell whether it is magnetically distinct from the other two,

Well I guess James that the latest image here shows the position of AR2821 and why it is a separate AR-number from 2820 due its' close-proximity is anyone's guess, but I can only go on what the SDO retrieved image by SpaceWeatherlive.com is showing...

Got to get some kip soon.

Regards
Terry

You have found a more up to date image than the one I found. The magnetogram helps too. Visually it all looks like one big sprawled out spot complex. My observations today illustrate that. :lol:

No shortage of activity on the disk right now indeed. Thanks for the heads up.
