Yes, that mammoth set of spots are getting close to the limb, but do not despair, as the latest SDO imagery shows that a N.E. Quadrant AR, could-well produce something to replace the action and anytime soon (hopefully)...

I saw a very small plage area with a small arched filament just halfway between AR2818 and the new AR in the NE quadrant.
