New CaK module

Post by Martin_S »

Today I got an unexpected surprise. My B1200 CaK module arrived 2 days early. I checked out the unit, everything was fine. A quick test on my ED72 was productive. I only got one capture as the clouds were rolling in fast.
Here it is taken with my ED72 stopped down to 45mm 2x Barlow @f/18.6.

I don't think so John. CaK is barely within the realms of visual observing, it's more of an imaging wavelength.

Excellent news it arrived early Martin! Promising first results too. You will get some excellent closer views at f18.6 with your 290mm too, twice the image scale of the 174.

Looking forward to seeing more :)

Congratulations Martin and good first light capture. I love my Lunt CaK module. It takes a little bit of getting the settings right if you're used to HA. Enjoy the new acquisition. Thanks for sharing.
