Sun in CaK and Ha- 5th May 2021

Post by Carbon60 »

A couple of FDs in Ca II K and Ha and closer view of the new magnetically disturbed region close to the eastern limb captured this morning on my front driveway. I almost didn't bother as the morning started with a covering of cloud and so I began with a few jobs in the garden. However, seeing it clearing from the west, I downed tools and set up on the drive waiting for the blue to arrive.

Ca II K (Lunt B1800/Omega filter combo)

Finally, a closer view of the disturbed region.

Processed in three flavours.....

Fun over... it was back to moving a tonne of slate chippings, concreting in some posts, cutting the grass......

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Wow! these are absolutely fabulous Stuart, yes I agree, you have a very tight bandpass for your CaK, quite an envy :bow :hamster:

The edge of the HA image is just awesome. I never get the edge as well defined as that, then again im using 0.5 angstrom so i might as well wish for aliens flying past!

Yes Stu, you have capture and produced some excellent close-ups of the fairly bland AR.

Thanks for sharing

Nice results Stu! I had a go yesterday morning just after 6am, but everything was conspiring against me, need to have a look later on and see if I have anything salvageable from it
