Heads Up 10th May

Post by Stardust5858 »

Hi all, heads up on new spot, active area, South Eastern quarter. Screenshot's only at the mo. Have a great day. Update, added two more screenshots in WL one showing the two spots in the new AR.

Your screen shots are a welcome-change Nigella and still show the relevant detail too, as well as the FC settings.
I must remember to look them up - when eventually I get round to trying-out FC.

The newbie AR is now confirmed as AR2823 consisting of two-spots at datum.
AR2822 is now showing up to seven-spots at datum.

You've certainly captured all the spot-action, so well done and thanks vm for sharing

Terry

Thanks Terry, I was surprised to see the new spot group this morning. I did see two spots in the new group.

It's nice to see the relationship between the FC settings and the images.
Thanks for sharing with us Ella.

Thanks Maurits, yeah it is, although I've only used screenshots for convenience of posting on the heads up instead of waiting on processing the data, lol.

You say " Thanks Ivan, hopefully it might help others too " - that is very true Nigella and very useful for two newer Solar image'rs, which I have been helping and certainly with FC will also help me trial that soon...

Well done and thank you that lady, now all you is need a secretary to do your processing... b :bow :hamster: b :bow

Nigella:
It sure helps to see the camera parameters, I still remember many many years ago that most well known astroimagers kept their parameters as top secret.
That was very hard for the new imagers at that time, we had to experiment a lot to get results.
Fortunately that has changed. :D
Best wishes.
Eric.

Thanks Terry, yes, that's a great idea, I need an assistant to do the processing, after all, most observatories have a post grad assistant, lol.

I don't see the point in keeping settings secret, why would someone. I have found on the planetary imaging side of things that kind of thing. Trying to get help is hard, especially RGB.

Helping one another should be second nature and I love this forum for just that.

Hear hear!!! that is exactly what this forum is about Nigella, no secrets :hamster:

We all should be able to get great images, I don't keep anything secret, what is the point, the Sun is here for us all to freely see :)
