15th May very short session.

Post by Stardust5858 »

Hi all, a very short session between very fast morning clouds. The dome was being buffeted by gusts of wind and the seeing wasn't that great. I only managed to capture one decent image in Calciam II K, it was impossible to use the HA. I did spot another small spot development in the plage East of AR2822 nearer the North Eastern Limb and what seems like a new plage area on the South Eastern limb coming onto the disk. 100mm AR stopped down to 80mm, zwo asi 178mm Camera.

Thank you Ella for an excellent report of your seeing and the fab images too. :girl:

Maybe some more action over the side as a small AR is about to emerge with another larger one too. Let's hope so and glad you had some clear-skies today, compared to here. :hamster:

Cheers
Terry

Thanks Terry, it was challenging but glad I persisted. Yes, let's hope for more active regions around the corner. Sorry you weren't able to see anything. Hopefully our weather will improve. We live in hope, lol.

Nice disk Ella! Try sharpening at a smaller radius and you will tease finer details out of the image.
