15May: Some Images.

Post by p_zetner »

Hi Everyone.
Here is a selection of images taken at relatively large image scale on the 15th. There is a CaK shot as well as some on-band and off-band (0.6 angstroms blue) images in H alpha. Calcium images taken with the Stellarvue 115mm f7 / Lunt B1800 module system and H alpha images taken with the Celestron C8 Edge / Daystar 0.6QPE system. I happened to catch a loop flare in emerging flux region S6862 (3rd image down). Too bad I didn't set up an animation for this!
Cheers.
Peter

An excellent set, Peter, with the prominence shot being my favorite, but they are all good.

Peter:
Beautiful clean and crisp images, like the CaK a lot.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
I forgot to show the inverted views in H-alpha so I include them here; AR12822 both on-band and off-band.
I think some of the finer loop-like, fibril features become very apparent in inverted view.
Cheers.
Peter
