I took a quick peek on the sun today while taking a break from work. Unfortunately this was after noon so atmosphere was already quite unstable. No time for animations and there were a bit too much of haze on the sky. Between thicker clouds I managed to take three 20 sek videos and one of them turned out to be mostly cloud free. I wish I'd had some time for shooting animations as the protuberances looked like there would be "things going on"
I've also figured out how to process the images as automatically as possible so with "batchruns" on AS3 and ImPPG and scripts/actions in Photoshop the processing takes very little time which is quite nice.

Excellent FD captures cmas.
Yes indeed to minimize the processing work-load is a bonus, which I approve-of, as like yourself, I am also busy and need to do as little after-imaging work as possible at present.
SharpCap, AS-3 (where needed), ImPPG and in my case - PaintShopPro are my main methods, albeit I have all the rest when required and time allows...
Thanks for sharing
