Fulldisk H-alpha on 15th June 2021

Post by cmas »

I took a quick peek on the sun today while taking a break from work. Unfortunately this was after noon so atmosphere was already quite unstable. No time for animations and there were a bit too much of haze on the sky. Between thicker clouds I managed to take three 20 sek videos and one of them turned out to be mostly cloud free. I wish I'd had some time for shooting animations as the protuberances looked like there would be "things going on" :)

I've also figured out how to process the images as automatically as possible so with "batchruns" on AS3 and ImPPG and scripts/actions in Photoshop the processing takes very little time which is quite nice.

Excellent FD captures cmas.
Yes indeed to minimize the processing work-load is a bonus, which I approve-of, as like yourself, I am also busy and need to do as little after-imaging work as possible at present.

SharpCap, AS-3 (where needed), ImPPG and in my case - PaintShopPro are my main methods, albeit I have all the rest when required and time allows...

Thanks for sharing
Terry
