2021-06-16 - AR2833 (HA/WL)
A tropical 33 degrees (Celsius) here today. These type of temperatures usually don't translate in great seeing, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I got (definitely not top notch, but absolutely manageable).
AR2833 is looking quite nicely with its fairly sizeable spot and fine filaments/faculae towards the limb. A nice set of proms on the SouthWestern limb make for a nice bonus.
Setup:
HA: 80ED, Quark Chromosphere, Baader 35nm H-Alpha, ASI174.
WL: 80ED @ 60mm f/25, Baader Herschel Wedge, Baader Solar Continuum, ASI174.
Thanks for looking!

Re: 2021-06-16 - AR2833 (HA/WL)
Yes indeed Jochen, we are both having exceptionally clear-skies over the last few days (either-side of the N.Sea), also due to the lack of contrails from commercial aircraft, but that is noticeably-changing as they start to travel the skies again. A year or more without them has certainly shown us how clear and blue the sky can be.
Anyhow you have captured some excellent shots today, so thanks for sharing
Temp here also in excess of 30-degsC., but clouds starting to form-up to the CuNim level for some thunderstorms expected tonight onwards, so I'm gonna spend the night-time catching those with the Oculus All-Sky-Camera from the observatory. Different..!

Thanks Eric/Terry.
Exactly. Forecast is predicting some summer storms here the next two days as well (nothing too serious though).
All-sky footage could definitely be interesting to watch. Enjoy!

Well Jochen, this lot of thunder storms only got as far as about 20-miles south of me, so the two cameras got nothing except wet... !!
Lots of that wet stuff, but maybe another opportunity.
Cheers

All your images are great but your inverted ones really kick butt! Very nice detail in those.

Beautifully clean images, Jochen. Nicely done in the tropical heat

Wow!! 33 degrees, you are very brave to go cooking in the Sun
Great shots though, obviously a nice calm high pressure to get such lovely details
