Sunspot on July 17

Post by gabrieli »

H alpha imaging was disappointing today and produced no worthwhile results. White light imaging was better and produced a nice closeup of the sole sunspot on the sun's face.
I used 3.8 Baader solar film on a 180 mm Tak + Powermate 2X + Sulphur II filter + 3.2 Mp Blackfly S at 1300 X 1300m ROI

Sulfur II. Nice! Spot details and granules show up well at this spectral line.
