AR12833 in H-alpha

Post by krakatoa1883 »

This spot is still very prominent but doesn't seem to be evolving beyond the present stage. It's a nice view in white light because of the well developed penumbra and in H-alpha too as it is surrounded by several filaments. Below is an image I took with my usual setup, since I was in a hurry I completely forgot to take a flat...
Thanks for looking!

Thanks Alexandra. Franco, I was really in a hurry, usually I take a flat but this time i didn't so the upper part of the image is darker than the rest....

Very nice image as always Raf!

The filaments around the spot are quite active recently I think. Not like the end of last month (it may have been the same spot actually), but still some nice movement, appearance, disappearance can be seen I think, or I am just lucky the time I observe it.

Thanks for sharing your beutiful images.
Best wishes,
Alexandros

Beautiful image, Raf.
Since I have Photoshop, I took the liberty of removing some of the gradients.
I hope you approve!
Cheers.

Thanks, Peter, now is much better! I don't have PS, I am using GIMP but the gradient tool is complicated, I don't like it.
