June 18, 22 2021 AR12833 WL C11
Hi all
2 images of the same AR12833 made on June, 18 and 22, with C11 setup.
Both sessions with Aries DERF instead of front solar filter, UV/IR+Baader SC and ASI174. The only difference is ES 3x extender in the first case, TZ-4 in the second one. 0 gain, 0,15-0,2ms only. Than I changed to Ha with Quark, but not processed yet. I suppose TZ gives better picture regarding the same seeing.
regards
Leo

Nice images. It’s interesting to compare what you get from your 11 Vs my 9.25. I think capture and post processing will however have a significant impact on the final image though.

An exceptional close up, Leo. Large difference between the first and second image, though.

Interesting comparison Leo... Are both post processed the same? The first seems like it is sharpened at a larger kernel size.

Impressive Hi-Res Leo!
I was thinking about buying the TZ-4. Do you have it for along time? Is it really good and useful?
Do you think it is useful only for Hi-Res scopes or it could work with the Lunt130 as well?
I am eager to see your photo with in in H-alpha.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Alexandros

Re: June 18, 22 2021 AR12833 WL C11 Ha added
Thanks to all for your kind comments!
Well, I have to be more accurate with comparison, Mark, making all processing in the same way, but at least I see your different opinions )
Alexandros, I used TZ-4 some time only in Ca and WL, I can say I like what came out at all.
Now I almost finished to work out hi-res files in Ha from June 18 and 22, nothing to compare because of better seeing on 22 and, at the end of session with mostly ruined conditions, I catched bright Ellerman bomb right on the forming light bridge in umbra part of AR12833 spot. The all phenomenon cycle was visible withing 3-4 minutes, that's why I suggest it's EB, not a surge-like plasma ejections directly towards up, when significant flux change over hours. It was very bright and clearly visible in Ha core, not in shared blue wing under fibrils of chromosphere around AR, as usual. Magnetic flux reconnections should be very strong there in the umbra area.
The setup is the same as above, Quark with 0.5x, EB images without, cropped.
I can't make all nice, dark, long filament together with AR area, because of not stable seeing and forced to cut off a big part.
To see mosaic in full resolution, click on, please. I made proportions also to fit better your smartphones screens
thanks for looking
