Heads up, new AR is quite active 23rd June

Post by Stardust5858 »

Just managed to capture a burst of activity within the new AR region. Apologies for the bad images. these are just one frame. My focuser decided to literally fall apart and cogs fell off the electric focus right at the inopportune minute. These were framed at 10.54-10.58UT.

Thanks Ella for the action from the new AR.

Sorry to hear about the maintenance-moggy not looking after the focuser... !!!
So much for the benefits of manual focusing though...?

Best Wishes
Terry

I know, you'd think my assistant would have checked everything before observing began, lol.

Despite the annoying problem with the focuser, you did it. Great view. Which telescope is this Lunt60 + DS?

Wow you caught it at the right time Nigella, flares always look their best on the edge of the limb. Hopefully your focuser can be fixed.
