The weather today was stiflingly hot at 89˚F with all surfaces exposed to direct sunlight very hot to the touch. I hid my laptop table in the shade behind a leafy overgrowth of Boston ivy on an arbor/cat tower in my yard for this session.
The seeing would not support much more than imaging at 2700 mm with my 180mm Mak.
I have to say I don't remember why I ever stopped using my Chameleon 3 so long ago. It seems to be doing a great job.
Lou

Fabulous in every way, it is going to look even better right on the limb edge soon
I can't remember which Chameleon I have but it gives terrible Newton's rings in Halpha, does yours?

Re: Closer and closer on July 5
Hi, Alexandra
My Chameleon does have Newton's rings but they are easy to manage with a tilter. The only cameras that I've had that didn't have Newton's rings were :
Grasshopper3 2.8Mp
DMK41
Grasshopper3 6Mp
