Solar FDs in Ha and CaK 8th July 2021

Post by Carbon60 »

A couple of full disk across the spectrum in Ha and Ca II K captured this afternoon between clouds under very variable seeing conditions. Looks like I captured a small flare on the western limb originating at AR2840.

First up, Cak FD as a three pane mosaic on the 72mm Altair Astro stopped down to 40mm

Excellent Captures Stu and a little surprised that 2840 has become that active, but then again we shouldn't be surprised as to what our Sun can do...

Thanks for sharing

Hi Stu,

Wonderful, crisp beautiful and detailed FDs. Knowing how difficult it is to assemble a uniform mosaic, I admire your work Stu.
