Proms on July 10

Post by gabrieli »

The weather forecast was sun/cloud in the morning and clear sky in the afternoon. It was close. There were clouds in the afternoon, too, large, very slow moving clouds that gave me about 10 minutes of recording time over 2.5 hours that I stayed out. A few files were unstackable due to wisps of cloud moving through. The files that were useable produced nice prom images with some noise and camera artifacts that became obvious if I had to boost the high levels. To get around that I darkened the sky with the low level slider.

Wow!! what a set :bow :hamster: so many beautiful proms :)
When the clouds passed were they at the end of a recording? in Autostakkert you can clip the end off the avi if it has clouds and then it will stack properly. I have done this many times to rescue a recording. It only works if the problem is at the beginning or end though.
