07.12.21 Sun in Lunt50
Hello everyone,
Again a mosaic of 6 fragments. Trying to improve visibility I reduced the shutter speed to 1ms, but I had to increase the gain. There is a noise, I would like to know your opinion on how much it interferes with viewing.
Thank you for your time and I am still glad to hear your criticism and recommendations.
Ivan

I think these look great Ivan, particularly for mosaics the blend is pretty seamless! I think if you want to challenge yourself is to try to process so both surface and proms are positive images which is a challenge for everyone. Is this a single stack? Double stacking does make it easier to process proms and surface together but does add another layer of complexity to capture and processing.

This is filmed without DS.
I try to make such a disc (with non-inverted surface and non-inverted proms) every time before I post a photo. And every time I don't like what I did and it goes to the trash.

Re: 07.12.21 Sun in Lunt50
I can't see any noise at the resolution of the image uploaded, so it doesn't hurt the image. These are great Ivan trying to get both positive discs is hard to overlay. The key is to feather the edge of the surface image to blend the edge more nicely. Also to expand the surface disc by 1-2% so that it is slightly larger, as the proms image will be slightly bloated.

Thank you very much for your advice, are you talking about hdr or is it possible to get disc and prominences in one shot without combining?Montana wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 6:17 am I can't see any noise at the resolution of the image uploaded, so it doesn't hurt the image. No, I was talking about combining two images, a surface shot and a proms shot.
