07.14.21 Sun in Lunt50
Hello everyone,
This is possibly one of the hardest mosaics I've ever done. Light milky clouds, then rather dense clouds, wind. All this made the picture unstable. Flat was almost useless and only helped from Newton's rings. All the fragments were variegated with a huge amount of light and dark areas, something like a piece of cheese with a lot of holes. But I still tried to collect this mosaic. In places the detail is not bad and even better than usual, maybe the clouds did something like DS.
I am still glad for criticism and recommendations. Thanks for watching this.
Ivan

Ivan:
Very good mosaic considering the sky you had at that time.
Your sky photo reminded me of my usual seeing for more than 2 months at my place.
Best regards.
Eric.

Interesting concept imaging from indoors. I might have to try that in these 100*+ days.

Thanks Eric
It took a long time to normalize the background, and there is still a lot to fix. I wish you and all of us a clear sky.

Re: 07.14.21 Sun in Lunt50
Hi Dan
This is a balcony on the 8th floor. The frame flaps are rather narrow at about 20 inches, so I have about 40 minutes to shoot, then I open another window and rearrange my stage

Your set up is just like mine in winter, I need the elevation of the upstairs bedroom window to see the Sun at all thankfully in summer I can use my garden.
The image is fantastic, when you described the conditions I was expecting much worse. You obviously had patience to spend a lot of time getting it to look near perfect

These FDs came out really well in spite of the weather, Ivan. Well done ! Nice set up, also: what is the red box ? A camera ?

Re: 07.14.21 Sun in Lunt50
Thanks a lot Franco,
It was interesting to try to shoot and collect all this. There were different exposures from 4 to 9 ms, different gain and cloud density, etc. Therefore, the disc is rather colorful, but it's better than nothing.
The red square is the old cooled ccd camera qhy img0s.
