Nice comparison, Pedro, and lovely images across the spectrum. The Solarscope 50 doesn’t look as even as the Lunt or Coronado scopes, would you agree? Worth the money?

Yes I agree, the solarscope 50 does not produce a uniform disk but it is a great grab and go telescope for visual observation. I got it used for an excellent price, hard to refuse.

The Solarscope is a little disappointing, I would have expected it to be more uniform, my 100mm is much better than that, but then again I don't have a chip big enough to fit the whole disc.

Nice set of images there Pedro, looks like the 50 needs just a bit too much tilt to get it on band hence the uneven field.
