The Sun - 18 July 2021

Post by David_The_Bears_Fan »

More sunshine on Sunday. Seeing not quite as good but I've seen a lot worse. Not much in the way of prominences today.

David,
These is a very nice spread of three light images covering the state of the Sun today. Thanks for the views. Clouds kept me away from the scopes today though I did get a quick view off with the Lunt 8x32 SUNoculars.

I particularly like your CaK images.

Excellent captures David - after taking a while to download (due to their size in M-bytes)..

SolarChat recommend a maximum of 2-Mbytes each image, to both save server-space and allow slower internet-viewer usage. Could also save the use of paying advertisements to support SolarChat in the future...

(reducing Solar-images to below 2-Mbytes in JPEG format, does not cause loss of sufficient detail)...
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31518 refers..

Best wishes
Terry
