SIXTEEN SUN-SPOTS-FIVE AR's today 21-7-2021

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

AR2848 in the northern-half of the disk has appeared today and judging by the attached SDO images, might even flare - whilst it traverses the disk over the next 6+ days. :hamster: :seesaw :band :band :band2

So currently at datum, a total of sixteen spots between the five Active Regions on either-side of the Equatorial Plane is being published.

Another (probable) Active Region appears to be following AR2847 in the S.E., but not yet visible.

Not too much prominence activity at datum, but the western area looks interesting

Many thanks - Franco, Chris, Maurits, Brian, James, Alexandra, Mark T. and JochenM.

Possibly getting to be one of the most interesting-times within Solar Cycle #25 and still early days yet...
