Prom Animation 21st July 2021

Post by Carbon60 »

WOW....I had the best seeing ever this morning (at least since a long, long time). More images to come (including RCT ones), but I wanted to share this animation sequence from my 150mm/DS Lunt 35 mod showing some really nice activity on the south-eastern limb this morning. Here processed in mono and colour:

Image20210721_Ha_Prom_Animation by Stuart Green, on Flickr

Image20210721_Animated Prom_Mono by Stuart Green, on Flickr

Real time was only 17 minutes, so things are moving at quick a pace. Of course, being on the east it should rotate further into view in the coming days.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Looks like you were observing at the same time as me Stu, it was easily visible in CaK too. Just processing my shots nice. Great looking animation btw!

I caught this region on Wednesday morning. Though small these active prominences were bright and easy.

Super impressive animation with such fine details. Would you mind making the next one much longer?
I really enjoyed that one, Stu. Thanks.
