July 21st 2021 - full disk H-alpha animations and a flyby video

Post by cmas »

This is today's "show" on the Sun quite early in the morning in Finland with 31 frames in the animation. The Sun was not fully up yet and thus the animations are getting brighter towards the end. I also caught a nice flyby so I added a link to the video.

And a stacked photo (click for a larger one):

And this is the flyby video, nothing fancy though, just a seagull or similar. This is not based on stacked images, but I did some minor editing with ImPPG to single frames and colored the disk in Photoshop: https://flic.kr/p/2mcriu1

Imperial shuttle landing on the Sun?

Wow!! for a single frame that is so sharp, that is a gorgeous image, you should frame it!

Loved the animations too, I love the motion of the chromosphere :bow :hamster:

Alexandra, of course that "single photo" is a stacked photo. I just meant that it's a still image from one part of the animation. I changed the description a bit to make this more easily understandable. My bad, sorry for the confusion.

The images in the flyby video are not stacked, just a bit processed. From that video one can see more easily the quality of the footage without stacking.
