AR12846_250mm RCT_22nd July 2021
Hi all,
Best of the bunch of SERs that I managed this morning:
20210722_Ha_RCT_AR12846_Mono by Stuart Green, on Flickr
20210722_Ha_RCT_AR12846_colour by Stuart Green, on Flickr
The seeing conditions looked quite good for the most part, but most SERs were unusable.
250mm Ritchey–Chrétien telescope (RCT)
Internal Barlow
Lunt 35 Etalon and refocussing lens
Basler acA1920-155um
2.5x PowerMate
Genika Astro image capture
AS!3 stacking (best 5% of 4995 frames)
ImPPG
PixInsight (contrast/colouring)
Tomorrow looks like it might be the last day for solar imaging for a little while.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Re: AR12846_250mm RCT_22nd July 2021
Good results Stu, I quickly found the seeing limit quite early on this morning, ending up ditching my initial data as was mush. Seeing fell off a cliff mid morning and then about 15 minutes later clouds bubbled up in the instability in the atmosphere. Wouldn't surprise me if I don't catch a downpour later...

I opened up the original image in Flickr to absorb all the fine details and this image is superb Stuart
I had the day off today and was out at 8am, seeing was very good then but started to drop off by 9.30am when I packed up. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I then had a friend over who I haven't seen for 2 years as last summer was missed out and it was a fab day

They’re amazing! I was imaging 7-8.45 and it’s great fun to compare what I saw with your images. I notice you’re in Lancashire. I grew up in Tarleton. Are you near there?
