Thanks guys

The solarscope50 is a great performer visually. For imaging a flat has to be applied.

It sounds like it's illumination is uneven. This is also quite apparent in my SMII60. It works for visual use but I have never been able to image with it as well as my SMII90 does. This is surprising since Solarscope etalons have such a good reputation.

Is the Solarscope a new purchase Pedro? Try using a UV/IR filter on the camera when imaging and see if it improves things.

A excellent set of images Pedro, I think you own nearly every model now, apart from a Solar Spectrum :)

Thanks Alexandra

Yes, I bought it second hand for an excellent price

You're right, I will have to find a SS filter (second hand). I always use a Baader 35nm filter (IR blocked) for h-alpha imaging
