July 23, 2021 FD Ha LS80
Hi All,
Today the LS80 took its turn in the sunshine after a 2 month break and captured something interesting. While processing some data I noticed an eruption of some sort near the NW limb. Image quality and tuning aside, I thought you might like to see the short lived event. 13:30 UT
Phil

I caught the Sun about two hours later than this and seen nothing unusual there so it had apparently subsided by that time. The location of your eruption matches the location of AR12842 so it's probably associated with that departing active region.

Nice FDs, Phil. Short lived, indeed. I imaged within about an hour of this and missed it.
Looking great after the break.

That's the great thing I like about solar, it's always changing and dynamic. You never know what you'll see. Thanks for sharing.

So well captured Phil, that your LS80 (and yourself of course) does a sterling job at producing such excellent images.
