NEW AR at the N.E.Limb 24-7-2021
A large area of an AR has appeared at the N.E.Limb this morning. Not certainly containing any spots at present, but early days yet.
AR2849 in the S.E.Quadrant has emitted a C4-class flare this morning and continues to look very active..
According to spaceweather.com - with an image...
" An hour-long pulse of X-rays and ultraviolet radiation ionized the top of Earth's atmosphere, disrupting the usual propagation of radio waves over the Pacific Ocean. Mariners, aviators, and ham radio operators may have noticed sudden drops in signal strength at frequencies below 20 MHz "
CLEAR SKIES

Re: NEW AR at the N.E.Limb 24-7-2021
Thanks to David, Mark T., Alexandra and James.
Clouds seemed to be the order of the day here in the UK, but at least James had some views instead..
Now that two of the older AR's have fallen over the western-edge, let's hope that more action from the existing and that new AR in the N.E.
