That's awesome Alessandro. That scope does very well. Your observing location is really pretty. It looks hot and hazy there.

A really nice set of up close images there Ale. Why did you have the objective lens re-polished and re-coated?

Hello Allesandro
I love the mechanical design of your OTA. Same question as Mark, why have you repolished the objective lens ?
And nice collection of images. The Ca H is quite good !

Thank you guys.
Mark, Christian, repolishing and recoating were necessary because I noticed that flint had MICRO scratches visible (only in backlight) Now the optics are PERFECT.

Alessandro, These are excellent close-up's showing very-fine detail, so well done there.

As James has just mention, the objective is nearly as big as the 300mm Lunt S/Scope we have been talking about elsewhere today...

Huuuuuuuuuugeee !!
