NW prom in high res (reoriented) on July 31
Today's session : set up for 15 minutes, record for 5 minutes, then clouds, clouds, clouds. then pack up for 15 minutes.
The weather forecast was accurate for today but I didn't know when in the afternoon, the heavy clouds would appear.
This season, I'm leaving my heavy CGEM DX mount and tripod assembled and stored under a weatherproof cover, topped by an inverted, large, white trash container. i already feel some relief not having to lug around the weight involved.
I am thinking about a simple backyard observatory with up to 7" x 7' useable interior space with either a hinged split roof or a roll off roof but I haven't researched the construction yet.
Anyway, here are today's results using a 180 mm Mak at its base focal length with a full ERF, a 2" 35 mm Ha filter before a
Quark Combo, tilter and FLIR Blackfly S 2.3 MP camera.

Re: NW prom in high res (reoriented) on July 31
You have certainly very well captured that cloud-prominence Lou.
Make sure you design the required internal-space with sufficient room all-round for either a RR or Dome, as you have quoted 7" x 7'
which is 7-inches x 7-feet ??? he he !!
In any case, the more room available for unexpected extras, such as a desk for laptop/computer, storage etc. etc., can pay-off in the long-run. I know that from my own experience, which has paid-off very well...
Best Wishes
Terry

Thanks for the comment and the correction, Terry.
To save face, I could have said I have a very narrow yard just like once at Home Depot I bought one paver and told the cashier that I have a very small patio.

Re: NW prom in high res (reoriented) on July 31
Nice shots Lou! I did similar this year, I now have my mount setup permanently outside on a pier, and this has certainly improved my ability and chances to get outside observing when the weather is changeable, which it often is here! I just have it covered up with a bbq cover, with elastic straps to stop it blowing away, this has proved fine in all seasons.

Your processing sure pulled out some excellent details in the prom !!!
Having the mount ready is a huge time saver, and if you can setup an observatory that will be the Cadillac system
