THE PROMS REALLY-DO "HAVE IT" TODAY 17-8-2021

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

:hamster: :hamster: :hamster: :hamster:

Yes indeed, a quite rare event of recent, is that all four corner-limbs have some fabulous prominences. :bow

So with only the one AR showing spots today, those proms are the all important captures... :band (If only the Sun was shining)...

CLEAR SKIES

Terry

Thanks Terry :) it always seem to be the case that when there are few spots there are lots of proms (and lots of rain) :hamster:

Amen to that! I am under a strong tropical storm! Thunderstorms with heavy rain, wind and tornado watches.

Many thanks Alexandra, Eric and Alex and yes of course Alexandra, unless we could live in a desert where there is rarely rain and clouds.

Let's hope that Cycle #25 builds-up towards Maxima and beyond, where we can have lots of proms, spots, filaments and whatever-else (especially visible flares too)..

CLEAR SKIES again - please..

And just got that reply James. Sorry to hear of your weather and I've not heard of Tornado making watches, but I guess whatever will happen - will happen.

http://www.flashearth.com/ and https://www.blitzortung.org/en/live_lightning_maps.php certainly show some interesting weather of yours..
