Granulation and spots with a T300 and a 290MM

Post by allhoest »

I use to image with a 174MM, global shutter.
I gave a try with a 290MM, rolling shutter.

The setup: non alumized T300, FFC, KLine, ASI290.

Thank you.
what does FFC stand for?
The FFC is the "Fluorite Flatfield Converter" from Baader.
Very convenient. It afford x3 up to x8.
As it is very sensitive to thermal shocks, I use it only with non aluminized optics.

Oh to have top class seeing…..

I’d be interested to see a few frames from your AVI/SER to compare with what we mortals can achieve under less optimal conditions, Alex.
