SATURDAY NEWS:- N.E. AR FLARING & S.E. ACTIVITY APPROACHING.

Yes as forecasted 24-hours ago, both the N.E. and the S.E. are about to come into view with much activity.

The Northern of the two has just flared and the attached SDO images show "what we are about to receive." :band

All some of us now need, is some excellent weather and I'm hoping to trial-image these events in 'four-lines of light' as now Ha, Cal-K, Sodium-D and WL.
(Sodium - if the 2" & 1.25" UV/IR filters arrive in time in a few hours). :bow

Watch that space - literally !!

Terry

I was noticing this on the SDO images earlier today. Thanks for your continuing updates, Terry.

Thanks for the update Terry, however, is it your fault we have all this cloud and rain - new equipment?

Many thanks James (and on the other page about S/M-3 collimation is a reply to yours)..

Thanks Alexandra and you are so right about both the clouds and the extra-new gear just arrived this morning, which has delayed me seeing what's going-on earlier, but as Chris/Rusted has beaten me to it today with his superb-capture of AR2859, so I will quite happily take the blame for both of your comments.

I just wonder what our Mark T., is making of the currently undesirable weather in his mobile-part of his journey today...
But at least later-on today, a possible day-light clearing in the S.W.-U.K. and tomorrow and beyond looking much better for many of us here too...

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

Thank you Eric and you also have a good weekend and if your weather allows, an exciting-time with the newbie/AR2859, as well as watching the S.E. AR too.

Regards
Terry
