I'm struggling with too much cloud and lack of transparency.
Best I have managed so far: I'll keep trying when the sky clears.

Oh yes Chris - thanks vm for that interesting capture of the new N.E. newbie.
Regardless of the weather conditions, you have confirmed with this image that the newbie - which is now numbered as AR2859 and apparently now consisting of 3-spots at around mid-day. This one has already flared and looks as if it might-well flare again...
I usually (earlier in the mornings) get to see what's going-on before anybody gets to post a decent capture of such on SolarChat, but you have certainly beaten me to it today... !!!
ps - delayed seeing what's going-on earlier, as a new pressy has arrived by post and will eventually allow Sodium-D line imaging - when the clouds depart...
Cheers
Terry

Chris, in spite of the bad seeing you got something, I just have rain due to the "Grace" hurricane.
Best regards,
Eric.

Yes James, the two filters have arrived this morning and awaiting 1st light along with some decent weather too.
ps I know you were interested in having one, but cash flow, so if ever I decide to relinquish this one from our Mark T., you can have the first offer at a rather interesting discount of our price paid...
That's what friends are for and SolarChat is full of those...
Thanks again Chris and still waiting for your completed observatory to happen...
