Indeed, with AR2859 in the North-East flaring so much and now being joined by AR2860 in the South-East growing much with currently (at datum) showing 6-spots, but the big two of those being close-enough together - that if the polarity is correct, could well produce a CME amongst lesser-flares...
If so, then Earth could well be in the line-of-fire !!!
Also keep an eye (or preferably a SolarScope on the N.E. and the S.E. Limbs as the SDO images shows oncoming activity coming into view...
Just hope that today (Thursday) my skies at least are clear enough for some more captures...
Terry

Thanks for the heads up! Tomorrow's skies look unsettled for me. I hope the weather allows me a view. Good luck on your Thursday captures too!

Thanks James, but our weather is not not good as the high-pressure is locked in place with either-side lows and causing too much cloud for the next few days - unhelpfully...
Thanks Maurits and taken from the highest-resolution available from SDO, but cropped to save those Mbytes...
Thanks Alexandra. Yes you are quite correct and it has just appeared overnight, You may be correct also in suggesting this might be AR2861.
Also keep an eye on the S.E.Limb...

Re: THE EAST "HAVE IT" TODAY - 26-8-2021
Could be might fault Terry. As the altitude of the Sun reduces my ‘hollow’ at the bottom of a hill becomes totally useless for observing our star so in preparation for going mobile I have had to buy some gear.
Now it’s not like I’ve spent a few quid, just £20 on a shorter power cable for my AVX. You would think with the wind and cloud we are seeing today I had bought the Crown Jewels.
Apologies anyway, even the smallest purchase annoys the cloud gods.

Re: THE EAST "HAVE IT" TODAY - 26-8-2021
Yes Alexandra, I did look at your area from the weather-satellite imagery and saw your clearing, but I imagine your u/s computer hasn't allowed you to capture the best of..
Hi John, I'm not sure exactly what your reply is referring to, but I have also considered going mobile to the Dengie Peninsular or Bradwell Airfield etc., but more for night-sky purposes with my recently acquired REVOLUTION IMAGER and its' 6-60mm Zoom Lens etc., but so far have been busy with other projects and new-gear. That could be more for winter-imaging, as could easily sit in the warmth of my car, whilst operating that...
Thanks
Terry
