28th Aug Sun images

Post by JohnW »

28th August SE Australia. Following on from yesterdays images I took these today of the sun's southern region. The active regions are labelled and there was a nice row of prominences along the SW limb. The yellow image is at 540 nm, and the orange one at Ha wavelength. Both single exposures with a Canon 550d camera. The orange one is slightly overexposed to get the proms to show up. Thanks for viewing.
