Solar activity of Aug 29

Post by krakatoa1883 »

AR12860 still dominates the disc, if I am not wrong is the most active group of cycle 25 that appeared so far. Flaring activity is frequent and worth of continuous monitoring. I have taken few images during this morning, three discs and a sudden flare that gave rise to a very bright spot in a matter of seconds. Thanks for looking.

There have been a couple of other active regions that would rival this one but still, it's a nice one!

Nice work!

Indeed if not the most active, AR2860 certainly is well-up in the league-table of cycle #25.

Excellent presentation Raf and thanks for sharing

Nicely done, Raf. It’s certainly a dynamic active region.

Thanks for your comments.

There have been several flares today too while an active region is becoming visible at NE, this afternoon I could see an eruptive prom projecting from the limb.
