Whilst trying to capture images between lots of clouds early this morning in S.E.England, I was hoping to confirm the correct settings for the Sodium Quark and the ASI-120MC-S camera, with very great difficulty as the space between clouds was on a few seconds and the clouds could last upto around 10-minutes cover, before eventually blocking-out the sun completely.
A quick change back to an old Altair Mono GPCAM did at least confirm some settings and I suspect that I will need to get another camera to combat the situation.
Anyhow these are my best of (although not good enough - I fear)...
Expected NR's in the SODIUM image are noted and can be sorted.
Thanks for looking
Terry

Terry,
Out of all these the Sodium image is my favorite. The spots of AR12860 show up really well.

Re: SODIUM, Ha & Cal-K for 29-8-2021
Thank you James. Much difficulty early today before the clouds prevented me to get things just right, but this was actually taken with the Altair mono GPCAM and not the new ASI-12MC-S due to difficulties getting the colour-processing correct.
So, likely will be getting another mono camera from ZWO, once I have confirmed which one would be best for a FD capture to fill the screen.
I don't think any of my Focal Reducers will satisfy with the 120 camera.
As https://astronomy.tools/calculators/field_of_view/ doesn't show the quark, I can try one of my two ASI-178MM's to see what they will produce through the quark, as obviously for close-ups within the FD capture, Barlow's will do the honours.
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions eh !!
Yes the Sodium capture well compares to the SDO Hi-Res image of the same hour...
Cheers

Great results Terry! You have nailed that sodium Quark! Lovely detail in the Quark image, is that single frame or a stack?
You've also managed to defy all odds by getting new solar gear and the sun being out! Just continuous cloud here for days (weeks?), all good fun being away though...

Re: SODIUM, Ha & Cal-K for 29-8-2021
Thank you Mark, Franco and Maurits.
Mark, the Sodium image was a single-frame and noting that the SharpCap download-speed was exceedingly short (even with the BAADER UV/IR 2" Cut Filter in front of the 2" diagonal. There was little turbulence in-between the numerous small clouds, so I can put that down to the new scope and its' 2" diagonal + of course the quark and the camera.
Although not much seeing is likely for this week (as the high-pressure) seems to be glued here, but I need more time and clear-skies to get everything just right and for full-disk availability too. Also more trials of the various Barlows and FR's is required as well as the use of F-stops too.
Yes Franco and Maurits - I suspect that the Sodium will actually take-over from White-Light in the future from the Main Observatory, but to have the four-lines of light and appreciating what Mark has been able to supply me with, is most gratifying..
(The mini-observatory is all here waiting to be assembled on the prepared base, but COVID has prevented having the second-person required to assist for the moment. That could then be used for WL - Solar etc., purposes with the older Orion ED80T-CF scope - when I've got the debris sorted-out)...
CLEAR SKIES (please - if everybody says it, it might happen everywhere)...

Thank You Alexandra.
The "29-8-2021 0851z Ha-proms.jpg (516.27 KiB) Viewed 43 times " is my interpretation of well-over-cooked "Porridge"...
Have you never had to scrape-off the cooking-pan after leaving the Porridge-on heat for far-too long - with the Fire-brigade en-route ???
Cheers
